Waiting for petrol?

I saw an old man at the petrol station today sitting on his wheelchair and watching all the cars pumping petrol and passing by.. I couldn't figure out why he was waiting there..and then it dawned on me, he was passing time..

That's what happens when you grow old, you run out of things to do and the highlight of your day is to go by the petrol station and watch the cars get filled up and watch the world go by.

Imagine how many little things we could do when we grow old?

Life with kids - Brain bored!!

It is so hard not to have brain challenge everyday once you have kids and start to stay home for a bit. Of course there is the nappy change and putting the dummy in your child's mouth when they cry, but honestly how bored could you get?

I guess being a mum is a different challenge in life than work challenges, but how much of your brain do you use when you are at home looking after the kids?

It is definitely not a waste of time, but how can we make the time we spend at home with our kids more productive? And what could we do to make it more brain challenged?

Changing your profession

How smart is to change your career path when you are half way through your life? Are we still very old fashioned and scared to take risks in life to change our career path? Are we still restricted to one career in life?

I mean really how many of us have done totally different careers in life? True we have changed our jobs, but how gutsy are we to change our career path? I'm sure there's a few of us that take the danger path, but what and who do we put on risk?

Do we worry about how to survive if we change our careers? Do we worry so much about our regular income? As we grow old how shaky are we for changes in life? Does it become a comfort zone when you are in a specific industry.

I would love to start a new career path, but its always hard to take that first step, scared of change, all these what if's....

Eating a crocodile..

I like to call this one eating a crocodile.. Living overseas you always miss the things you like to eat most, like the good old 'kimbula' translated to english a 'crocodile'. Made out of bread dough its like a croissant ,but a bit more harder and longer. It is the best breakfast in the world for me and I could easily eat 4 or 5 of those..

Well lucky for me found this great bakehouse in Dande which makes those!! After taking to the baker to find out what time he makes them, I now try and visit the bakehouse to get the hot ones straight from the oven!

Its strange how tastes that you love as a little girl hangs around you even after you've had an drought of crocodiles for 10 years..

Now with happiness I cherish these aussie crocodiles ...yum...

Life without boundaries...

What if life was lead without boundaries? it could have positives as well as its down side. it would have been wonderful not to have any road speed limits or would have been great if we didnt have to wake up to an alarm clock. Who set out these boundaries, who can own the boundaries? Can you really live life without them?

When you think about having a wedding, are you bounded by the fact that you need to invite everyone and share it with the people you love?

People set these rules and regulations that you need to live by, some are set so that the society is in one piece and that no one gets hurt.. for example I believe that is why the road speed limits are set and that is why the speeders are caught and punished.. but what if there were no road rules?

The more you break the rules the more free you feel? Is that the truth? I mean what if you feel guilty of breaking the rules? Are you worried sick that you would not make it right?

Life without boundaries is like living life without food.. I mean honestly we are always bounded by some rule or by someone... so here is my post..
